Oh Subway, how we will miss you

Leon is in the 'grab everything you can cause the whole world is tactile and it all belongs to ME' stage that I'd been warned about. I looked down at him on the subway two days ago to discover he was holding onto the finger of the woman sitting next to me. Luckily, she was beaming back at him with adoration, so I did not have to apologize, or rescue her.

Christopher and I are actually sort of worried about taking Leon away from his daily subway commute. He loves to look at people, and always wants to have the sides of the baby carrier turned down so that he can look around. He even fusses angrily if I try to put him in facing me, unless he's asleep. So we're wondering if Ann Arbor will bore him, because he won't be surrounded by crowds of interesting multi-hued and tightly packed people everyday. However, no subway also means less opportunity for spitting up on tightly-packed-and potentially grumpy subway riding strangers, as he did twice yesterday. Which will be good, because holding an adoring finder is one thing, but unwelcome baby vomit is entirely different.

Although one could consider the vomit said strangers karmic reward, for not offering us a seat.
